2013 Carchelo "C" Blend
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Bottle size
- 750 mL
Very vivid red garnet with significant violet notes and intense ruby.
The intensity and complexity of this wine is striking, with fruity note blends of hints of berries, floral notes and a distinct spicy character, including cedar, toast, clove and vanilla.
Smooth, dark and brooding, offering flavours of dense fruit and a good wallop of oak spices. A sharp cracked pepper quality comes through on the finish, adding a palate-numbing nuance and sharpening the wine's plush black and blue fruit character.
- Winemaking Notes
The winery has 100 hectares of vineyards, with owned and leased plots, producing Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. These plots are located in different valleys and different altitudes and orientations. These changes in altitude and orientation produce differences in the interception of solar radiation, temperature and wind exposure, yielding differences in maturation which allow for staggered harvests of the different varieties and plots.
- Growing Conditions
Bodegas Carchelo, located in a beautiful natural environment in the Sierra del Carche Regional Park and at a height of 1371 meters, was a pioneer in Jumilla for its policy of quality wines from its native harvest, having such great success that other wineries began to appear with the Designation of Origin.
- Food Pairing
A great partner for rich, hearty dishes like lamb and potato stew.
